Outcasts United

Finishing up a wonderful book. Outcasts United.....by Warren St. John. I have listed it as a must read! Wonderful book of triumph, support, love, security and encouragement. I researched the book, its author and coach. I found some moving videos along with awards, etc. Brought tears to my eyes. I encourage you to read it and gain some empathy and sympathy for others less fortunate and as Teachers offer ELL children an education rich in understanding and warmth.

Wiki's Podcasts and Blogs

I have spent the past 4 hours discovering and listening to 78 different podcasts to post to my wiki. Of course I only needed 4....2 Science and 2 Math....but I became addicted to them quickly. I am not sure that I actually posted the very best but there are so many to choose from. My journey towards educating English Second Language people is well on it's way. We didn't just get our feet wet with these 2 summer classes.....we have been dunked over and over 100's of times....rarely coming up for air and that is only for laundry for the family....possibly a pick up dinner and an occasional shower if I am lucky! I learned some Spanish today from a local group of Guatemalan children. I enjoyed it but again reminded myself I have so far to go. At least I know the journey is challenging but will be rewarding and fun....eventually!
